How long after sex can I take a test?

So the other day me and my boyfriend had unprotected sex. I m on the depo shot so I don t get a period but I m still kind of freaking out. Do you guys think I m okay? How long after sex should I take a test?

It is extremely unlikely you are pregnant. The Depo shot is quite an effective form of birth control. But you can't really trust a "no" on a pregnancy test until about two weeks post-sex at the earliest, and three is better.

You can take a pregnancy test from 14 days after sex.
If you're on Depo then the risks of pregnancy are slim - which is something you should already know, and if you're 'freaking out' you need to address why you don't feel secure with your chosen method of birth control, possibly consider using a back-up method or abstaining if you're this paranoid about pregnancy!
