would you accept a job offer that paid 10 k more?
hello ,
there is this job opportunity for me.. it's pretty much the same job I have know but there is an opportunity to make 10 K more a year. However, there is 10 weeks of training that is not paid and the probationary period for this new job would be 2-years. I currently enjoy my current job and passed probation and everything. But would you risk 10 weeks non-paid training and 2 years probation to make 10 k more a year?

No, in the U.K. i have never heard of a 2 year probation, the norm is 6 months.
They are doing this as it is easier to get rid of you during a probation period, if you have a permanent contract then they have to go through UK employment law legislation , for a probationary period they can get rid of you tomorrow.
Something not quite right here.
We don't know what country you are in...
But in the USA, it does not sound legal. So no I wouldn't do it.
If you are an employee, you are an employee.
It sounds like the company wants to pretend you are an independent contractor.
I don't think I would do this, no.
NOT happening here legally maybe in ur country.
Here training is legally required to be PAID for as u go.
Two years probation is illegal.
Try actually asking local educated adults for real answers locally
