What is my gf trying to tell me?

So today me and my girlfriend were texting and out of nowwhere she brought up sex. She was saying how getting intimate makes her nervous and scares her because shes a virgin, and that she thinks it'll hurt. I basically told her "we dont have to do anything, that makes you uncomfortable". But she kept bouncing back and saying the same thing, and said that "she doesnt want to be the one that stops me from being happy" and that "she doesnt want to stop me from doing things i want to do". I made it clear and told her multiple times that if she doesnt want to have sex, we dont have to because im not the kind of guy to force that on someone. She kept saying how nervous that makes her and she's worried that I'll leave her and all this other stuff.

I cant tell if she actually wants to have sex, but is too scared to say it directly. Or if shes testing if im a f**kboy or not. Or if she's trying to tell me that sex is off the agenda. She said so many different things, and gave me so many mixed messages. I kept asking her why she brought it up and she wouldnt give me an answer. I just dont know, can anyone give me some advice on what to do and how to approach this situation
