How do I cope with recent abuse and try to pass college courses?

I've recently been abused and cannot focus on school. Is there anyway I can get out of my classes for the semester without penalties?

Take the police reports and go to your professors. They may allow you to take an incomplete. You may need a doctor's letter as well. Keep in mind, college professors are often scammed by students who aren't doing well. I had to ask this when a close relative was gravely ill, and one of the professors told me they had just had a student claim their family member was just ax-murdered. Unfortunately, they didn't realize professors can call the State Police... you'll need documentation, and a note from a DV counselor wouldn't hurt your case.

Speak to the health center and ask for the domestic violence support group near you. It's important that you get some support and counseling so you can get back on track.

Go to the Dean of students, not each professor.
You will need a doctor or therapist to back you up.

And do what...mope around all day doing nothing? You're better off having meaningful things to do to take your mind off the abuse...like school.
