Whats some of the best portable record players that are affordable?

I'm looking into buying a record player. I don't know too much about record players, so that brings me to say that I'm looking for one thats easy to use. I like the portable kind (like the Victrola vintage portable i found on amazon. Don't know if its the one i want or not..) just one that seems high quality on budget of around $50. Vintage style/looking. Just old school Vinyl records. One that won't harm the records or break them in any way. Thanks

There Are No New Ones That Are Any Good At All.
Period.

Regardless Of The Brand On The Unit,
They Are All The Same Garbage.
Do Not Buy One.

Y!A is overloaded with questions about why or how they fail,
and the answer is universal:
"You Bought A Piece Of Sh*t."

Instead, budget between $70 and $300 to buy and have an audio repair shop
recondition a real 1960s or 1970s portable stereo phonograph.
They can be found on eBay and at various sales in well-populated areas.

[There are also some rather overpriced units on eBay
that have already been worked over.
I don't trust them like I would one that a local shop serviced.]

Magnavox made the best ones.
Zenith would be my second choice of brand,
and either Voice of Music or Motorola would be my third.

Such a unit, well serviced, is likely to outlast 20 new ones.
Yes, TWENTY of them.

And it won't damage records like the new ones pretty much universally Do.
