Should ICE be able to deport illegals from sanctuary cities?

Thousands of illegals that were in prisons and jails have been deported.

And ICE deported a lot of the members of the Mexican Cartel that sold drugs here.
And they deported some of the leaders of gangs that came here from El Salvador, MS13 gangs, as a warning to the other members...they should leave.
Yes. Why should criminals and gang members that kill kids sell drugs and mug people be allowed to stay here?

All a sanctuary city is, is a city which doesn't routinely demand immigration status from every single person the police come in contact with.


Just like medical marijuana dispensaries, the federal government is welcome to prosecute anyone they wish, these cities have simply decided they have other priorities, like rap, murder, robbery, assorted other violent crimes, and most property crimes.

You have states which have ten year backlogs on testing rape kits, but Republicans want to force these cities to spend money on catching people whose only crime is wanting a job and not being wealthy enough to come to the US legally to work for Trump Industries.


I find it odd that so many people favor a police state, where policemen are required to check your papers everywhere you go. Proving you're not an illegal is an affront to any citizen.

They can. Sanctuary city just means local law enforcement won't ask about citizenship unless they commit a crime.

what is that as a %age of the total number of illegal immigrants?
how does that compare with the number of crimes committed by US citizens?

Who would you rather have as a citizen
an illegal immigrant who has lived in the US for several years but committed no crime except being illegal?
or- a US citizen who is an habitual criminal?
