Is there any american tv drama similar to "monk" and "the x-files" that can be recommended? Thanks!!?

Depending on your tolerance of gore and disturbing material, I recommend the "Hannibal" TV series, if you haven't already seen it. It's quite graphic and very dark, but wonderfully written and produced. Being a "Monk" lover myself, my husband suggested it to me...it starts off as a crime mystery show, but gets much deeper as the main detective begins to suspect his colleague of being a killer and a cannibal (not really a spoiler as you're probably aware of Silence of The Lambs, which is connected). So many twists and turns, it got addicting! But as I said, it is quite a few scales darker than what you may be looking for...Monk may be PG-13 while Hannibal is an R. All seasons are free on Amazon Prime if you're interested.

I've also heard Criminal Minds is good, but I haven't personally watched it yet.
