what did you think about the Home Run Derby?

it's a circus/carnival side show. "pitchers" 40 feet from the batter, lobbing the ball. fans fighting for "free" balls. TV announcers gushing over every batter and lobbed ball. maybe a derby hitter will get seriously hurt from the farce and MLB will have to come up with some other fan attraction to sell tickets and commercials.

Loved it for the first time in years. The game too.

It wasn't something that I really cared about

meh. i watched the first couple players in the first round then put a movie in. especially since no Cubs were in it this year, i really had no interest. same with the all star game, since now the outcome has no meaning. which it should anyway.

even if a lot of Cubs were in it this year like last year, i doubt i would have watched it, but who knows.
