It is real in the unreal world but not in the real world.

No. It's a selection-bias rationalization judgment for saying, essentially, "I told you so".

no

No.

The universe does not care.

However, people cam make karma appear to be real. People often do care, and their action/inaction to someone will often depend on what they think of that person.

So, if you are a utter as-hole to people, then the universe will not make good or bad things happen to you any more than if you were a saint. But, when some random bad thing does happen, and you need the help of those around you, the saints get more help than the ********.

Karma is nothing but your own deed. God cannot watch each and every human being at the same moment. That's why He had created the spirits to watch, guide and determine the destiny of the human beings from their daily activities, talks and thoughts too. Your past determines your present and your present determines your future. God has given freewill to all creatures including human beings. According to this, all human beings have all right to live a life as they wish. But if it happens to be bad and hurts someone, they have to face the consequences. These consequences are created by spirits. It's a natural system. After death no one lives in any form. Heaven and hell are only for spirits. Spirits are separate elements. A human being is not a single spirit. A human being during his/her life time is living with many spirits which have joined one by one since birth. They are knowledge, skills, feelings, emotions, interests and everything. Even thoughts are not your own. For example, when you want to take a decision on a subject, one after another the spirits think and you just listen, choose or reject the ideas which they transmit to your mind through your brain in the form of thoughts. A human being is just a robot made of flesh, bones, tissues etc., and a toy of the spirits for their games.

No.

Karma is a man-made superstition and is not real. There is no force of nature that balances rights and wrongs, goods and bads, or evils and benevolence.

What you mean is suffering the consequences via unforeseen cause and effect. This is not what Karma means. The Sanskrit word for this is: anubhuj.

In Vedic Indian culture, they had a concept separating ideas and systematic analysis from experiment and physical interaction.

Sanskrit is the language of the Vedic culture. The Sanskrit word "Dharma" is the same word as the Greek word Theoria (theory). Dha- in Sanskrit means "to put, place, arrange, rank". Dharma is the action of arranging, ranking, and is a pure mental pursuit. It therefore has legal connotations.

Karma is a compound of the Sanskrit word for hand: "kara", and the action suffix "-ma". Karma means handling, or hand action. It has the connotation of physical 'work'.

Karma and Dharma balance because you think of an idea---which could be right or wrong---and then you try out the idea physically eg, test out. Dharma that doesn't relate to physical application is disregarded.

I think karma is a bit like sin. It attempts to explain why bad things happen to seemingly good people, and good things often happen to those that don't seem so nice. Karma literally means "action", so it has as much to do with what you are doing now as what happened in the past.

I don't believe a metaphysical mechanism called karma exists.
However, in a very general sense, good behaviors are more likely to be get a positive response, than bad ones. So, karma is, to me, something like the golden rule, reminding people to do the right thing, even if they are not so inclined.

"Do not be deceived: God cannot be mocked. Whatever a man sows, he will reap in return.

"The one who sows to please his flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction; but the one who sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life.…"

No. Like other forms of cosmic justice, it comes from our wishful thinking. We want for people to get what they deserve, for things to be fair. It's a seductive idea to think something like that exists. But it leads to at least two problems. First, it makes us more indifferent to unfairness; injustice and suffering. When we think some supernatural entity or force is going to take care of things for us, we're less motivated to take care of it ourselves.
Second, if a person believes there's a force that makes things fair, then when bad things happen or good things happen, then they conclude that the people deserved those good or bad things. Victim blaming and deference to the fortunate. They may even decide to be prejudiced against people who are like the victims.
