Hello

If your iTunes on your computer does not detect your iPhone, you might have the Apple Mobile Device Support service turned off on your computer. Please refer to this Apple Support Article for more information on how to resolve your issue.

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT203188

if the issue persists, uninstall all apple software from your computer, reboot (turn off, then turn back on) your computer and then reinstall iTunes.

Hope that helps

What cable are you using? if it's a cheap cable, that's the problem, you need a data sync cable that will also have the data cables in it. Cheap cables, the ones that come off of a charger or cheap ones you buy online are only designed to charge the phone, not to connect to a computer and transfer data.
