Chemistry question need help. Concentration problem. Thank you in advance :)?
A solution is prepared by dissolving 20mL of pure hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) in enough water to make 200 mL of solution. What is the concentration of the H2O2 solution?
回答 (1)
Density of H₂O₂ = 1.45 g/mL
Mass of H₂O₂ used = (20 mL) × (1.45 g/mL) = 29 g
Molar mass of H₂O₂ = (1.0×2 + 16.0×2) g/mol = 34.0 g/mol
Number of moles of H₂O₂ used = (29 g) / (34.0 g/mol) = 0.8529 mol
Concentration of H₂O₂ = (0.8529 mol) / (200/1000 L) = 4.26 M
