how to handle this ?

my bestfriend invited me to camel beach and we were leaving early in the morning and i have to watch my brother until the babysitter gets here because my mom goes to work. i always do it and i don't really like my brother because he's very rude and disrespectful. He's diganosed with ADHD and he can be difficult at times. so i said i wasn't watching him and i'm sleeping over at my friends house so i can go the next early morning. my mom is upset because i said he isn't my responsibility to watch over it's hers i'm not a parent you are the parent. and now she holds that against me saying oh it's not my responsibility to do anything for you now

Go away and have fun, you don't have to worry, as she needs you for a sitter when you get back. She is just mad you showed some independence.

if youre getting free room and board its not unreasonable for your mom to ask you to watch your brother, if you didnt want to miss going to the beach you couldve taken him with you, im sure he wouldve enjoyed the outing
