As easily seen by the answers you already have, you seek rationality where none exists. Christianity makes no sense, it is not rational, therefore the rational among us are not christians. Pretending god is about as irrational as it gets.
Who in the world believed ever living God ever living and then died and ever-living again.? Not you, not me, not many others.
God had long ago established that a blood sacrifice was the only means of atoning for sin. He did it in Genesis 3:21. By the time of Christ, Jesus was the only suitable blood sacrifice for the forgiveness of sin. God did not break His own established precedence.
God demands that sin be paid for. That's why Jesus came to pay our debt with His own death. (Its also why we have a criminal justice system. Those who break the laws of our country must pay for it).
All who ask for His pardon will receive it. This is grace.
All who dismiss it will be held accountable. This is justice.
God is holy and just. Ignoring sin is not justice.
Rrrrright.
Stand in front of a judge in a court of law and say "Ok. I'm sorry. Forgive me and let me go free."
See if that works for you.
The verdict is in: GUILTY.
All that remains is sentencing.
If the price for your life has not been paid by Jesus (by your admission that He is Lord, the Son of the Living God), then you are left to pay for your crimes, sins and offences - or God would not be just in His ruling.
Arrogance is God-repellant. Get on your knees and repent. Beg for forgiveness and believe in Jesus. He will turn you into a new creature: NOT for your sake, but to glorify His name as Holy.
Read my profile. He did it for me, He'll do it for you.
No,
1st God can not die, thus he could not have died for our sins.
2nd God is Love but he is also a God of Justice.
3rd God's right to rule was challenged. Man wanted to determine for himself what is good and what is bad.
The answer to this 3rd question requires time, enough time to show everyone that life without God can work and be better than life without God, letting God's standards of right and wrong be our guide.
Well some 6,000 years have proven to all mankind that we can not achieve happiness and life without God.
Since we are free moral agents we have the ability to answer for ourselves as to which God we will serve.

“Mr”, those returning to GOD through Jesus Christ are accounted as a “new creation.” With our Creator, an apology and promise not to disobey again are not enough: words must be armored with deeds and divine substance. To avoid spiritual confusion it is always important to acknowledge that such elements as grace, divine law, sin, forgiveness, atonement, and remission are not physical devices or objects that appear in ordinary transactions like purchasing food at the grocery. For salvation, operations on multiple levels must be carried out that are exchanges and interactions of spirit substance within the makeup of GOD. Included are faith, forbearance, holiness, hope, joy, longsuffering, lovingkindness, wisdom, and wrath against sin.
Sacred events must occur, rather than those that are simply abstract, carnal, intellectual, material, mechanical, secular and social. Forgiveness that is important to continuing relationship where covenant agreements and law have been violated does not do the same work as confession, rebirth, repentance, sacrifice, and sanctification. The language used to abbreviate and simplify talking about what are applications of exalted authority, eternal purposes, and expressions of sovereign will is often misapplied and misunderstood. Consider again the following from the holy writings:
(1.) Ezekiel 18: 20-24, King James Version (KJV): 20 The soul that sinneth, it shall die. The son shall not bear the iniquity of the father, neither shall the father bear the iniquity of the son: the righteousness of the righteous shall be upon him, and the wickedness of the wicked shall be upon him. 21 But if the wicked will turn from all his sins that he hath committed, and keep all my statutes, and do that which is lawful and right, he shall surely live, he shall not die. 22 All his transgressions that he hath committed, they shall not be mentioned unto him: in his righteousness that he hath done he shall live. 23 Have I any pleasure at all that the wicked should die? saith the Lord GOD: and not that he should return from his ways, and live? 24 But when the righteous turneth away from his righteousness, and committeth iniquity, and doeth according to all the abominations that the wicked man doeth, shall he live? All his righteousness that he hath done shall not be mentioned: in his trespass that he hath trespassed, and in his sin that he hath sinned, in them shall he die.
(2.) Romans 8: 5-9, KJV: 5 For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the Spirit the things of the Spirit. 6 For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. 7 Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. 8 So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. 9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.
(3.) 2nd Corinthians 5: 17-21, KJV: 17 Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new. 18 And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation; 19 To wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of reconciliation. 20 Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ’s stead, be ye reconciled to God. 21 For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.
There is far more to be said, correctly applied, and spiritually apprehended. (For example, (4.) 1st Peter 1: 18-23, KJV: 18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers; 19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot: 20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you, 21 Who by him do believe in God, that raised him up from the dead, and gave him glory; that your faith and hope might be in God. 22 Seeing ye have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit unto unfeigned love of the brethren, see that ye love one another with a pure heart fervently: 23 Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.) .) Even so, I trust this fragment will be useful. Be it unto you according to your faith.

Its not just forgiveness blood has energy in it
If a race has stired up an evil force that sucks life away as in sin. Just forgiveing dosent stop that flow and the creature that opened the door to the vacum cleaner will keep geting the life sucked out of him through a hole called sin.
Animal blood has energy you can kill animals and pour their blood on the ground to slow this thing down.
But it takes a perfect human life to seal the leak permanantly for 1 life. After that happens
Life can begin to build up again in the species.
This isnt a religion thing! This is a prion thing
A protein that enters from the ground into animals and people and causes diseases.
The only way to kill a prion a genetic protein accident is either destroy all infected life and burn the planet or introduce a prion that negates the bad one.
Mad cow disease is a prion they exist! And they spread by altering proteins and going back in the ground
Not true! Someone had to pay. Among men, none were found worthy to pay. So God incarnate (Jesus) became fully man without sin and fully God to pay for our sins
through His death, and we became alive forever more, for those who would believe by
His resurrection from the dead.
Hebrews 9:22
And according to the law almost all things are purified with blood, and without shedding of blood there is no remission.
No, He couldn't. It is part of the rules of engagement in this war between God and Satan and what is demanded for justice. You cannot have God in a vacuum, there i s also Satan, the source of evil, the god or all lies of how to live instead of how the Creator set the laws of how to live within His world.
The idea was meant to be that Jesus got killed in such a horrid way for such a stupid thing, turning over the money tables of a bunch of criminal conmen, scamming, greedy, evil, sadistic murdering, slave keeping, fascist monsters, and they put him on a cross for saying I am God, so now, we get forgiven by simply realizing what he did, and learning from it, aiming to be nice, in the spirit that he showed, fighting for the good of the people, but somewhere along the line, the same scamming con men started using his new religion, if he even made up a new religion and wasn't just fighting against the horrid injustice of the old one, to continue to scam money out of people, and also threaten them with death if they went against the church. They were still murdering people for heresy and blasphemy thousands of years later. Or at least a thousand and a half.
Mere forgivesness does nothing about the problem of sin. The sinner remains a sinner still.
You need to be saved from your sin.
How is that possible?
Only through the death of the old and to receive new life.
All in reality He could NOT have just forgiven us. Justice demands that sin be punished and God is just
Jehovah God is immortal. He sent His son Jesus to die for inherited Adamic sin-1 Cor 15:22,45;John 3:16; Psalms 90:2; Psalms 83:18;Rom 5:12. Unrepentant Deliberate Disobedient Practicers of Wrongdoing aka willful sinners are not forgiven-Heb 10:26;Gal 5:19-21
