How long after a UTI should you avoid having sex? And swimming?

So I heard that when you have a UTI you shouldn t swim or have sex because it can make things worse, so how long should I avoid having sex and swimming? This is my second UTI in like...three months. And if I m on the depo provera shot, will antibiotics make it ineffective?

You need to consult your doctor's office about this. Ask to speak to his nurse about it.

Have you looked into why you keep getting UTIs? This is the most important thing.
