Ranger Rover for teenager?

Go on line and study the problems there customers are having, I did this a while back and decided I would never buy one.

Very few safety issues with any Land-Rover product, especially since they'll be in the shop half the time and unable to hurt you except financially.

Range rovers in general are a f*cking terrible car to buy. Unreliable, expensive to maintain, repair, and insure, and more expensive than almost any other SUV on the market, except maybe a G-wagon.

Now put that car in the hands of an idiot kid with no experience and a penchant for staring at his/her phone while driving. You tell me if that's a good idea. And before you get all huffy, if you're under the age of 25, the odds are very, very good you're an idiot.

Great vehicles until they break down or get hit and start rolling...

Are your parents aware that they are "thinking of getting a used Range Rover probably between 2012-2014" for you? Somehow, I wonder if they actually know this.

Yes, they are safe.

However, they are plagued with reliability issues. You'll get to know a Rover mechanic VERY well and give him/her lots of money.
