what does it mean if a guy cries over you?

so basically this guy and I were friends with each other for two years. He opened up to me about personal stuff and said he never told anyone else that stuff. I betrayed him and now he tells me to leave him alone. He doesn't want to talk to me but he wants to be around me. I will go different ways in school to avoid him and he will pop up out of no where. he actually went to my gym class and just was on his phone. he kept looking at me. I told him I want to die because of him and my friend saw him in school and he was crying. he has told me in the past he loved me. he said his feelings are love with envy lol
