I have been trying to get my dog, a 7 year old Cavachon, to sleep in my son's room instead of mine. When in my son's room, he is constantly whining and occasionally barks. We moved his bed, put in some toys, and even put our cat in the room to help him stop (They are friendly to each other) but, the constant whining is persistent. If anyone could provide any help it would be appreciated.
If the dog has slept in your room for 7 years, why try and break the habits of the dog now. It must be bewildering for the dog to say the least.
I don`t see the logic.......more info might help.
Your dog likes you better and not your son, clearly. You can't force a dog like that, they have feelings and are just as important as your son. Get another dog specifically for your son.
