He blamed it on the alcohol?

We have been friends for about a year and then at a party he was acting different around me by being flirty and he never is with me, then we kissed. Nothing came from it and we just remained friends then a month later we were at another party and he was being flirty with me and he kissed me again. We kissed in the morning aswel. Now I've heard he's been saying that it was only because of the alcohol that we kissed and I feel like an idiot. Why would he do this?

I don't get how him acting like a stupid drunk makes YOU feel like an idiot. He should be embarrassed to say what he's saying because he's painting himself as someone who's not in control of himself.
If you're glad you kissed him, great, good for you. But if you now wish you had not, all you have to do is learn the lesson not to kiss someone who's drinking. That doesn't make you an idiot, though, not by any stretch of the imagination.

Alcohol lowers your inhibitions so you do what you are too inhibited to do when you are sober so it is a deliberate act to lower one's inhibitions. You cannot blame your actions on something that you take voluntarily. If he really didn't want to kiss you he would never drink alcohol around you.

Because he probably likes you and doesnt want to admit it so when he drinks alcohol he thinks its a excuse to be flirty and kiss you.
