Why do people delete other people on Facebook?

I delete people if I'm mad at them. I have a lot of people added from work who piss me off and I need to keep my job so instead of slapping them at work I just delete them

because they post pictures of everything they eat or if they have babies they post pics every time the dammed thing breaths or if they constantly share those BS chain posts about winning money

I only keep family, people whom I keep in touch with, or people whom I think have interesting statuses.

People that I'm mad at or never talk to, I delete.

The one reason I delete people most is if they constantly post comments moaning about rubbish. Such as the post man, weather and politics.
