If you eat a lot less and do workouts each day, how long will it take on average to see results?

With an accurate scale, you should notice significant results in a couple of weeks. The workouts might help your muscle tone, but they don't help much to lose weight. Not unless you do a huge amount of physical work (6+ hours a day) and go hungry all the time.
