A deep fryer is not how kentucky fried chicken is made.Its cooked in a pressure cooker specifically designed for oil.Even a regular pressure cooker is not designed for that.However,if a deep-fryer is what you bought,you can make awesome chicken with it using the spices that folks "imagine" is in the secret blend,or just use the spices that you put together yourself based on what you like.Grats on the new purchase.

KFC chicken is pressure cooker fried, so while you may get a close copy-cat, the meat will not be as tender as real KFC because it is not pressure fried.
