Why do Republicans hate science?

It doesn't give them the answers that they like.
It disproves their religion.
The people that hate science are the ones who believe there are more than two sexes.
They don't hate science. They just prefer money from their fossil fuel industry paymasters.
Republitards are dellusional and take lots meds
We think Socialists are cheating at it to push their agendas and SCARE or fool people into accepting a Socialist Dictatorship----with them in charge of course.----Makes more sense than a lot of the crap they push. I AM a working "environmental Scientist" BTW. but I get no grants I have to defend and I am not a Socialist.
It's due to people not reading the New Testament. At no point does it say science isn't true.
Republicans don't trust scientists...More accurately they don't trust those scientists whose research they don't like. They apparently love the scientists whose research they do like.
Global warming and evolution are not science. They're ideologies
I don't think that republicans hate science but then you are between a rock and a hard place when you support science and some of the teachings of the Bible or other religions for that matter. If there is a god I don't think they would want to inhibit progress and our ability to understand the natural world. After all it's learning and discovery that makes life so much fun. Go science! I used to be a republican so I get where the logic comes from but think that church should stay at church and home but out of the education system. Note that the question never mentioned church vs science but know that this was always a battle with most of my republican friends
