I got a kate spade purse from tjmaxx for 62 bucks about a week ago. this being a great deal for an originally 230 dollar bag (clearance 110), I reasoned that the smell would eventually air out.
well, it hasn t. I don t really want to take any sort of cleaner to it, as it is richly dyed. I suspect it has something to do with the tanning process. please help. my house stinks.

Return it. It might be a knock off and who knows what they did to the leather. And it will always stink. Sometimes things are on clearance for a good reason.
