Why are NYers so serious?

OK, I say this as a Confederate, cause the asshole proud US-is-the-best-country on earth types are everywhere, exception being those who aren't racist. HOWEVER, I do understand that NYers are kinda serious in personality, compared to even other cities, why is this? What makes a Londoner, cause London is also another one, and a NYers have to be so serious in personality. Serious people are lovely. "Bro"-saying Rivera Nuyorican, we're ghetto and not so serious, but I love serious people too but why? I get that stress and all of those things lead to it, but even in LA, Cleveland people aren't so serious.

Anonymous I meant that I love the Confederacy. I know the army doesn't exist, because I know the US has a history of imperialism and conquest. I mean the US is built off conquest. That being said... I do love NYers and not all are proud Yankee assholes either.
