I've met a girl named Toni she was very lively and pretty. I personally wouldn't use it or recommend it simply because it's not my taste.

Personally I'd never use it and it seems better suited as a nickname for something like Antonia or something but if you like it that's what matters.

It's a bit dated but I like it. You could use Antoinette or Antonia if you wanted a longer name first.

My uncle and mom were Don (not Donald or Dominic) and Sue (not Susan or Suzanne, etc.) They both had ghastly times convincing schools, colleges, banks, employers, etc. that their names were real names, not nicknames. My grandparents had unusual, convoluted British Isle/Southern U.S. names, so they wanted to keep it simpler for their children. It didn't work.
I would highly recommend giving Toni the real name of Antonia, Antoinette, or even Tonianne, Tonirae, Tonilyn.
