Medication not helping my depression?

About a month ago I was put on a medication called sertraline. The medication was really helping me, I felt almost back to my normal self. But I feel like over the past week the medication hasn t been helping me. I ve gone back to having suicidual thoughts again and I m feeling down a lot. I basically feel the same way I felt before I got put on the medication. Why is this happening and what should I do?

They usually start you out on low dosage, I would just check back with whoever prescribed it to you and ask to up the dosage, and if that still doesn't work then they can try a different medication. Took me several medications tries to find the right one

Baloney. You have to take it for six weeks before it even begins to work.

I can't speak of your medication, but I can tell you I've suffered from severe depression in the past, and that a daily workout routine essentially cured me.
Have you tried working out daily, just to see how it makes you feel?
