No.There is very little difference between the two cards, barely 10%.
It's a waste of money.
If it were double, it would be worthwhile but no way for such a trivial gain..

Either one would handle most if not all games on very high-ultra settings on that res and refresh rate

even an oc 1070 can do 1440p so why spend the extra money on a gtx 1080. if you need extra frames just oc the gtx 1070.

The performance difference at 1080p wouldn't really justify the extra $100-200.
