Molar mass of Mg = 24 g/mol
Number of moles of Mg = (2.4 g) / (24 g/mol) = 0.1 mol

Mg + H₂SO₄ → MgSO₄ +H₂
Mole ratio Mg : H₂ = 1 : 1
Number of moles of H₂ produced = (0.1 mol) × 1 = 0.1 mol

Molar mass of H₂ = 1 × 2 g/mol = 2 g/mol
Mass of H₂ produced = (0.1 mol) × (2 g/mol) = 0.2 g
