Paternalism is underrated. Paternalism gave us art museums, philanthropy, settlement houses, and Progressive reforms. Paternalism produced great leaders like George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, and James Madison. America only had one truly good (actually, great) working-class common-man president- Abraham Lincoln. And most of the South violently objected and were willing to tear the country apart to get away from him.

All stupid questions like this do is reveal your twisted view of the world.

We get it, you're a selfish prck who would never do anything for anyone but yourself, who looks at people who do good things as suckers and who thinks everything in the world is just there for their own use.

You might want to not share as much about just how mentally screwed up you are with normal people.
