想請教pay my dues的意思和用法，感謝?

意思 :- "pay (one's) dues" is an idiom.

pay my dues -- to do something that I do not enjoy because :
i) I want to have something, or
ii) it is my duty.

做自己不喜歡的事；因為要 :
i) 得到自己想要的
ii) 盡職

用法 :-

eg. I hate bargaining with my boss. However, as the representative of the team, I have to pay my dues.

[ 為了盡母責, 饑餓的母熊給孩子餵食剛捕來的魚。]

直接意思 “Pay my dues” = pay your fees/bills
衍生意義 If I expect to do well in this class I must “pay my dues”(有所付出) so I must study.
