how do i explain this to my dad?

i downloaded a game called yooka laylee for free on this torrent website instead of paying for it. my dad will see me playing it and question it. i cant say i downloaaded it illegally ill get in trouble. i cant say i bought it, he knows i have no money. what do i do

Tell him it was a free download. It's not a lie but it also doesn't expose the complete truth. Btw, illegal downloads can get you and your parents into some serious legal and financial trouble so be more responsible in the future.

i would just delete it, that way you might not get in trouble for downloading it when you werent supposed to
