Stop giving her attention when she does it. It's like feeding a dog from your own food while you're eating it. If you do it, the dog comes to expect it. Your dog is, essentially, demanding something from you and you are providing it on demand. So stop giving her attention when you don't want to. It's very useful to teach a dog "go lie down", or "go to your bed", or just plain "go away" or "no" so you can tell it to do one of those things when you have things to do that don't involve petting the dog. You will probably, now that the dog is used to this routine, have to show it many times that you aren't going to do it any more before it catches on that sitting there growling and grunting is not going to get it what it wants.
"Scolding" doesn't enter into it. You are giving the dog a command to tell it to do something else or to stop doing what it is doing.
