Will we go to war with North Korea?

The thing that makes North Korea so mad is the division of the country of Korea into North and South, as a result of America's Korean War about 65 years ago. China supports North Korea economically, has met with Trump last week in Florida, and has promised to bring North Korea into peace talks with America.

It takes two to tango and just as it's to be hoped the N.Korean leader won't take this war of words to the next level, the owness is EQUALLY on Trump to back off too. And right now, having fired missiles into Syria and a mega bomb at Afghanistan, I'd suggest the possibility of war is more likely to be based on what TRUMP does next, not the N.Korean leader's next actions. China has asked Trump to back off - let's hope he does. But given who the man is, I don't see that happening unless he can do it without losing face?

I don't think so. Tensions will deescalate. I don't think trump wants to start a nuclear war and as mad as he is I don't think Kim will want to either as he should know that although he would cause a lot of damage he would eventually lose and his regime would be toppled. If the us attacks, yes he will go full out war but I can't see the US attacking and putting their Allies in Japan and South Korea in mortal danger and also destroying relations with China.

It is all just show boating.

I really don't think it will happen, and the US will not throw the first punch.

Kim Jong-Un is a smelly little rat, trying to act like a big gorilla.
Little does he know that all of his underground nuclear testing will contaminate the water
and the North Korean environment so badly, that it will eventually cause the cancer which will inevitably kill him.

Meanwhile, I believe that China will intercede on behalf of the US, and China will make it known to Kim Jong-Un
"himself" that war is not militarily warranted, nor will it be a sanctioned option under any 'current' circumstances.

Kim Jong-Um shot his mouth off, and has made his intentions known ... for now, the US is simply listening.

Absolutely nothing will happen. North Korea knows that they can't withstand the aftermath of any potential attack on the US. Just for shits and giggles, if North Korea theoretically attacked the west coast of the US and killed hundreds of thousands of citizens, the US would not need to do anything. China would invade North Korea themselves for attacking their largest trading partner, remove the regime operated by Kim, and make the demilitarized zone closely operated by China. Russia would do nothing more than vocally condemn the actions of North Korea if the strike were to happen. Kim Jong- un knows damn well that China will not put up with these actions as Xi Jinping (President of China), already despises North Korea and is trying is best to remove any type of association with them. Also, if China didn't do anything, the US along with the rest of NATO could demolish North Korea within a matter of hours. It is not worthwhile for China to defend North Korea as the initial benefit of it being a buffer between China and the US has proved to be less and less useful. It should also be remembered that North Korea's weapons, including their nukes are heavily unreliable. Even though NK has the power to nuke us, it will not end well for them.
