Whenever I eject a disc when it is in standby mode, the disc comes out but once it's out it starts going back in and you have to be super-quick to grab it and if you manage to grab it, it makes this weird noise for a couple of seconds, it sounds like it's still retracting but then it stops.
Is there something wrong with my disc tray or is it supposed to be like this?

There's something wrong with the eject mechanism. It's not pushing it out far enough, so it's trip[ping the bit that thinks you just put the disc in. It needs a hardware repair.
