I got bit if I had a gun I would have shot the mutt. The dog was not of value to the owner and some how was not trained so bang, check mate.

Were I live. Never heard of a officer shooting a dog. They take them out with there club or rattan. Sometimes with a hammer if they know a bad dog is in the area. So if you had police. This question would not need be ask.
