My female lecturer seems to be unfriendly, cold, distant and introvert but way smart and intelligent .
During lecture she cares about only a few selected students and makes eye contact with them all the time, while marginalizing others . I always try to be focused so I make eye contact with her all the time . When I see her in the hall ,i also greet her.
Yesterday , I asked her if i could participate in her seminar with some other students and she asked me with her poker face :" Are you one of my students ? Do you participate in my lectures as well ? "
I was like " WTF man? Are you fu*king serious ? " . She didnt even recognize me !!
Are cold people in general this way or she just doesnt give a damn about her students ?

She is your lecturer, not your new best friend. She is there to teach you, not to care about you. How many students are in the lecture of hers that you attend? How many other lectures does she give every day? Every week? If it gets into hundreds of students a day or week, you cannot possibly expect her to remember each and every one every time.

That's the way college is. The instructors are supposed to know their subject well, whether they are actually good teachers remains up to chance.
