I can see the lines on the timing belt, does this mean the timing belt needs replacing ?

car - 2006 ford focus sport 1.8 TDCI.

the belts on these apparently should last for 125,000 miles but that seems to far fetched imo.

According to the service book the timing belt was replaced at 95,000 miles, at 126,000 the timing belt was supposed to have been replaced during replacing a head gasket ( which now seems hg was never replaced) but now the car is at 158,400 and can see the timing belt as the cover over it has a piece snapped so I can see the belt by looking in.
I can see the lines by looking at the belt, does this mean the belt wants replacing ?

any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks

Some timing belts come from the factory with visible fabric IN them when new.

Is it showing Lines like belts of a tire when tread is worn out? That belt is ready to snap. It doesn't get like that in 30,000 miles. You didn't give a clear enough description for a definite answer.
