Why do Atheists think that logic and reason will get them into heaven?

Atheist dont' even believe in heaven. They believe in non existence upon death.

Any atheist who thinks that, or even that heaven exists in the first place, isn't using logic and reason.

Look at the terrible intolerance, hatred, bigotry, homophobia and persecution by Christians towards others! No DECENT persons wants to spend a minute in such company let alone eternity! Christians show Hell would be a much nicer place!

Because that is what God wants. He does not want blind faith in fake religions, designed specifically to keep everyone away from Him.
Christ clearly said He did not come to create a new religion. So what do people do? They create a new religion called Christianity.

Since to us atheists god doesn't exist then neither does heaven or hell so no need to be good just to get into heaven. Being good is something that is just the right thing to do. No god needed for that. Most people are born with some sense of right and wrong. No one ever had to tell me that it is wrong to kill people. Quiet as it is kept, christians have not cornered the market on morals.

Atheists only think about the present because they secretly fear being sent straight to Hell! They know that there is a Higher Power watching over but they act like He's not there so they can go on with their rebellion of senselessness. Atheists are good actors, one must admit but that's the only thing they've got on their side.
