my son told me he wants a super Mario bros. birthday cake but the only SMB game we have is the one for our nes. how do you make the cartridge into a cake.

I assume you do not mean to actually bake with the actual plastic cartridge, or plan to mix inedible silicone chips into a cake to feed your son. If so, I'd recommend using the "puree" setting on your blender, and leave it on a long long time.

So let's go under the assumption that you want to make a cake that "looks" like the Nintendo NES box. A picture of this machine is shown below. If you want to make a cake like it, I'd recommend baking a simple cake in whatever flavor your son likes, or perhaps a heavier pound cake recipe. Make it in a 9x9 square baking pan, preferably one that does not have rounded edges because the NES has 90 degree corners on it.

As for decorating, you'll want to get something to make it look the same as the NES. My choice would be a roll of white fondant that you are able to tint to a gray color similar to the gaming console. The fondant will probably make it easier to produce the hard plastic corners and an overall seamless plastic look with no icing knife lines.

Scan a picture of the old game, box or screen shot or whatever. Print it on frosting paper with your ink jet. Put on cake following package directions. Problem solved.

No idea what you are asking. I assume you are just trolling and wasting time.

You decorate a cake with Mario characters. I guess if you want to place an actual game cartridge on top of the cake you could.
