How to remove a stuck, rusted and stripped bike pedal off crank?

If the pedal is stripped, most likely so is the crank arm.
Start by spraying some "Kroil"
(available from kanolabs.com)
on the problem parts.
You won't need much.
Wait a few hours and wrench.
If it's still stuck, spray it again and wait again.
If all else fails, apply heat from an oxyacetylene torch.

They never fail.
Don't forget one of the pedals has to be turned the opposite way to be loosened and taken off.
First make sure you're turning in the right direction. The left pedal has a left-hand thread. Then I strongly suggest you get a real pedal wrench, as pedals can be stuck hard enough to damage regular wrenches before they break loose. Apply the penetrating oil of your choice, wait and try to turn.
I prefer to have the bike on its wheels, crank aligned so I can push down on the wrench. Step on it if needed.

If loosening it with a penetrating oil does not work, then drill out the middle of the connector and tap it out.

You're probably having trouble with the left (non-drive side) pedal, which as others have said, is threaded left-handed. So you should turn it clockwise to loosen it. The best way to turn it is to position the wrench so the handle is a little bit CCW from the crank arm. That way, you can squeeze the wrench and crank arm to apply the proper force and loosen the pedal. Doing it any other way is going to be harder, and a good way to skin your knuckles.
