I do prefer quorn over isolated soya protein, mainly due that some soya protein use hexane in their extraction processes (personal scareness).

Quorn is healthly, however it comes from a fungus which can cause serve allergic reactions but so can soya. Another problem with quorn products is that some products I find them dry and they need a but of sauce or gravy to eat with.

Did these two people tell you why they think that? Did they cite any studies? Any evidence? Probably not.

Soy does not cause cancer. However, eating a lot of red meat and a lot of processed meats like bacon or hotdogs are correlated to an increased risk for certain types of cancer.

Textured soy protein is just when they separate the protein from soybeans and shape it into a thing. Sorta like the way they make chicken nuggets, just with beans instead of chicken.

Whole foods are better for you, but eating some processed foods won't give you cancer, JUST because they're processed. There has to be an ingredient in the process that causes cancer. And soy protein is not known to cause cancer.

Many of these meat substitutes are high in salt, fat and calories. Read the label carefully.

All those things can be safely eaten in moderation. Whole plant foods are the best. Tofu is very good. TVPs i have some doubts about. I've read a little bit about the processing which sounds more like how they make plastic than how they make foods. Hexane? do they get every bit out?
Our knowledge of soy products is very good. but soy isolates and concentrates have not been around that long or studied very well. So some of those things you mentioned are probably fine once in a while.

It's not bad for you...but frankly I could never get used to the taste or the texture.

I hate being forced to answer three questions just to ask one

Quorn is made from mushroom protein, its made into faux chicken, sausage, burgers, mince, I've had most of these and they taste/work well with meals.
Tofu is made from soya beans, it needs flavor adding to it because its plain just as is, you can stir fry it with sauces, or marinade before cooking.
