1. you wanted to ask Dr. Chang politely if he has any time after 5pm. You want to ask him a few questions. (use youshijian)
以後五您有時間嗎?我有一點問題.
A: “after 5pm” should translate into Chinese as “下午五點以後”
because “以後五” doesn’t make sense in Chinese. More examples
are listed as follows:
after 9am: 上午9點以後
before 9am: 上午9點以前
“我有一點問題” should be revised to “我有一些問題想問你” because the meaning of“我有一點問題”is not clear enough if you speak first. However, it’s ok when you mean to refuse a request you don’t want to help or do anything about it.
Besides, here list two sentence. The first sentence seems weird to me, because I think “wanted” is not match with “has” in time tense. Anyway, my English is not good enough to judge this sentence; however, in this sentence “politely” could translate into Chinese “禮貌的”.
2. you wanted to tell your friend that this morning, you have two classes; and this afternoon, you have to go to a meeting.
今天晚上我有兩節課.今天晚上我得去開會.
A. May be it is your typo.
morning: 早上;afternoon: 下午;night: 晚上
3. you wanted to say that you have an English exam the day after
tomorrow, you have to practice English tonight (use dei).
下明天我有英文考試,我得練習英文.
A.The Chinese phrase “下明天” doesn’t make sense, it should be revised to “後天”. In Chinese, we could say “大後天”。For example, today is Monday, you could say the coming Thursday is
“大後天”.
4. you wanted to say, “Don’t drink my coke!” to your second younger brother.
二第,別喝我的可樂!
A.Your Chinese writing should be revised to “別喝我的可樂,去找你的二弟。”
Number one: 第一; Number two: 第二
弟 : The brother that younger than you
兄:The brother that older than you
兄弟:brother
5. you wanted to say that you won’t be free until tomorrow afternoon after three thirty.(use youkong)
我沒有空才明天晚上以後三點半.
A.Your Chinese writing should be revised to “我明天下午三點半以前沒有空” or“我明天下午三點半以後才(會)有空”
6. you wanted to say that you will go to the school library this evening. (use dao…qu)
今天晚上我要去學校的圖書館.
A.Fine.
7. to tell your friend that you will call her/him after you get back to the office.
以後我會來辦公室,我要給你打電話.
A.Your Chinese writing should be revised to “我到了辦公室以後,我會打電話給你” or “當我到了辦公室,我就會打電話給你”。Here , “我就會” means “ I will (immediately)”, while “我會” means “I will(but may not be immediately).
8. you wanted to say that because you don’t have class today, so you are going to see a movie with your younger sister.
因為今天我沒有課,我和我的妹妹要看一個電影.
A.Fine.

Oh, I got, Your Chinese teacher is a Chinese; his English may be just like me “So, So”.
