you can use anything you want...
Only if you are not Canadian.
Yes you can, its slightly thicker than maple syrup, so not as runny.
You can put any syrup or sauce on pancakes, chocolate, caramel/toffee, fruit syrup/puree.
Of course you can. Who says you can't?
Folks like a vast variety of things on pancakes, from chocolate to syrup. Real Maple syrup is made from Sap-and Only Tree Sap. And it takes about 40 gallons of sap to make one gallon of syrup-and it is a LONG, sticky process (don't try it at home unless you live in the woods). Many other syrup's are made from High Fructose corn syrup and a Lot of other things-check the label.
There's no law about what you can put on your pancakes.
yes, and you can use any other syrup you have or can make! I make pancake syrup to go on pancakes and waffles.
1 cup brown sugar, 1 cup white sugar, 1/4 cup white Karo, 1 cup water and 2 teaspoons whatever flavor extract I wish to flavor it with this day. Bring everything to boil except extract. remove from heat and stir in extract.
yep, no problem - it's much more economical.
Sure. It's not the same, but it's good.
Of course you can. You may also use jam. marmalade, lemon curd, peanut butter, any other type of spread or any other food you want to add. They are your pancakes. You can put whatever you want on them.
