Christians are the biggest problem for both demographics.

Biggest problem with being an atheist in the US is the Christians. They're pushy and annoying, and if you lose your temper, you're an asshole and you hate God.

The biggest problem with being an atheist here in the US is, I'm in a culturally Christian society. I'm never going to be the good guy holding this position. The odds of being represented by a political figure along these lines are almost nonexistent. Perhaps we are on the verge of becoming enough of a demographic that politicians feel a need to appeal to us, but I think we are still at least one generation away from getting there.

The biggest problem with being an atheist is living in a country that is very religious. Although the Pacific Northwest is nowhere near as bad as, say, the southern or midwestern United States, it can still be frustrating at times

Tolerance of other's viewpoints??????
Being a Baha'i, I have no problem with it.
I'm a Baha'i, a member of the Baha'i Faith. We believe there is only one God, that sent Buddha, Jesus, Moses, etc to humanity, now Baha’u’llah has come.

Suspension of disbelief, followed closely by cognitive dissonance

Why Christian/atheist? Why not Christian/Buddhist? I have no problems at all with being an atheist and I cannot see why anyone would. I can't speak for Christians, I stopped being one of those when I became an atheist.

That you can't be both at the same time?
