英文文法 請問有些單字如give see 有時會寫成given seen 請問這代表甚麼時態 為甚麼會這樣用?

give和see是root verb (原形動詞), given, seen是它們的[過去分詞]

過去分詞可用在動詞的完成式時態(perfect tense)裡,如為及物動詞,則還可用在被動態(passive voice):

以given為例:

is given (動詞give的現在簡單式被動態)
was given (動詞give的過去簡單式被動態)
will be given (動詞give的未來簡單式被動態),
has been given (動詞give的現在完成式被動態)

given在當修飾語時,有被動的意思.這時它是[動狀詞](verbal).動狀詞是由動詞所衍生的詞類,保有部分動詞的特性,但功能不同於動詞,如:
Impelled by her curiosity "given" to her by the gods, Pandora opened the box-jar, and all evil contained escaped and spread over the earth.

例外:
Given that Rudy often gets lost, we should wait for him a little longer.
這個given是[介系詞], given = because of

is seen----eg:--Flour and eggs is seen to be mixed like this way.
was seen----eg:-He was seen laughed politely even though he couldn't see the joke.
will be seen----eg:-The wood will be seen as a tree=Not see the forest.
has been seen ----eg:-Latin has been seen as an old subject.

is given---eg:-Some info. on buying a new car is given by Father.
was given-----eg:-I was given to understand the Contract would not be approved.
will be given-----eg:-I regularly give 10% of my income to charity.
has been given-----eg:-The new computer programme has been given me a lot of trouble---a hard time.
Given--adj eg:-At a given time,we all start shouting,cheering,and robbing iphone -ncident. at MongKok.
be given to doing something---eg:-She is given to make wild accusations to her Boss and get fired.
Given(prep=,not surprising, because of.)---eg:-Given the circumstances, you have coped well.
Given (as it happened in)that there was little time,we think Mr.Ho chun-yan has done a good job.
Gioven (because of)the basic fact,I would accept as being true !
"give" in passive voice=was given, Not was gave.
