I'll be working on a cruise ship for the first time and I had some questions that nobody seems to be able to answer. Like - is WIFI available on board ? I've been told that it's working from time to time, so in this case is it a good idea to buy a internet modem from my phone company ?
I found little to no information about the ship ( mentioned above ). There is one review on Trip Advisor and few lines written on the website of the company that owns the ship. I know there are a bunch of websites about cruises and ships, but I can't seem to find this particular one. All I can find is technical data and what I need is more like a passenger/crew review.

Of course WIFI is available aboard, all river boats have it. You won't need a modem, just a tablet, phone or laptop to access it. I would say it's a surprise you were even given a job if you couldn't find out that simple information.

start with cruise critic dot com. however if the ship is very new, then you won't find much at all for the first year/

Oh wow, I didn't knew ( until now ) that I have to know if a ship has wifi or not to be able to work on one ! You know, not all of us have the money to afford to go on a ship and know if there is or isn't something on board that we might need. I had the qualities and experience that they were looking for and that's why I got the job.
