Any good open world combat games for XBOX One?

For Honor was recently released. though i don't think it's open world.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Wildlands is an open world tactical shooter game.

Assassin's Creed series is open world stealth adventure with good combat. Every game works on Xbox One except AC 2 revelations / Brotherhood; and AC III. every other game has a native Xbox One game or is BC.

GTA V is a must have. online is fun if you have a group that plays together for missions.

Watch Dogs 1 / 2 are another to look into. similar to assassin's creed (both made by ubisoft). more "hacking" / stealth with some action / combat.

Witcher 3 if you're an RPG fan. along with Dark Souls.


What you should do is buy games used (not digital) from Game Stop, Walmart or Best Buy. i know from those three, you can return used games within a week and get a full refund. other stores won't take them back at all, or just buy them from you, often for less than half.

if you buy from the three I mentioned, it's a great thing to do when wanting to try new games. as you're basically renting from the store then. then, if you've played it, and still see it cheaper elsewhere, new, used, or digital online, return the hard copy and get it there instead. it may not be convenient, but it allows you to try games with confidence and not waste any money.

even if the game is used at $55, instead of new at $60, better to have the option to return the used game, and not waste $60 and only get $30 or less back if you sell it.

if a game just released, wait a week or two for some used copies to start showing up at said stores above.
