Back in my day a couple going dancing would be "tripping the light fantastic" as they loved ballroom dancing.

Hello,

Tripping is a slang word use especially by teenagers and the young generation in the U.S. 'Tripping" means that they were doing something annoying or something that the son found dumb or boring. For example, if the parents were telling the son to clean his room or if not they would take his phone away, that is an example.

They are is pronounced separately whereas they're is pronounced together.

Baller refers to as a basketball player. They're ballers means they play basketball.

Best,
-Daniel
