How do you translate this to Mandarin?

In the sentence “He danced three times yesterday.”
“Three times” just need to be translated into “三次”，basically “了” is not needed in this sentence. So, the proper translation should be “他昨天条无三次”。
In your next writing “条三无”, it make no sense because the two words of “条无” means dancing. You can’t put these two words apart to make it still means something.
In sentence “他昨天喝了四杯咖啡”，you could put “了” at the end of the sentence，without change the meaning too much; but just add a kind of feeling that you think he drinks too much.
In your thinking that In Chinese language to put “了” after a VO (verb object)，that’s really an interesting question that challenges me. As I never thought we Chinese also like English having “VO”。Ok, simply put，I make same examples hope it might help you.

“好了” is a phrase, and “我說完了” is also a phrase.
If you just say “好了”, just like you say “wait” in English, you are expected to continue to say something after you say “wait”.

But actually I know it’s absolutely not easy to learn Chinese. Very possibly, it’s more difficult for you to learn Chinese than I learn English.
