how to get smoke smell out?

i recently bought a second hand coat but it smells very strongly of smoke (cigarette). I cant wash the coat though. how can i get the smoke smell out??

Dry clean.

Smoke smell is very haunting. You can use some essential oils or there're detergents for this purpose.

ask a dry cleaner what they would recommend. it may be quite difficult. next time, sniff test the second hand clothing

Put the coat in a plastic bag with cedar wood chips, it will kill the smoke smell over time.

Dry clean it. Spray it down with Fabreze.

some towns has dry cleaning machines. I got it out using dryel sheets and putting it in a bag in the dryer.

get the scented beads that you throw in the washer to make your clothes smell good and dissolve them in water then spray it on the coat. (this works awesome i smoke cigs so i use this when i dont want my mom to smell me and she always compliments how i smell lol)

That's a tough one. I'd take to a dry cleaners if you can't machine wash it. Otherwise spray it down with febreeze or Clorox, and hang it up in the sun.

Wash in a good amount of vinegar, which will not hurt the coat if it's not fur or something like that.
